May 1, 2024 – Library Journal named Meredith Crawford, Community Engagement Librarian at the Cedar Rapids Public Library,

Doug Munson, who retired in 2021 after 33 years, agreed.

“I just liked it. I like helping people find materials,” he said. “It’s the people I worked with and the patrons I met that kept me there so long. I liked everybody I worked with.”

Events Specialist Kami Zbanek Hill just started at the library about a month ago, but this isn’t her first time working here. She was previously a summer seasonal employee for three seasons before starting on the Community Relations team.
