FY2025 Annual Report
In Fiscal Year 2025, we were busy finding more ways to encourage literacy and learning for our youngest readers while working to increase access for our oldest patrons.
We planned programs for teens in need of a fun place to be after school and for kids just learning to read. We supported jobseekers and small business owners. We provided books for every age, every reader, and every interest. We tried to reflect our community, and to welcome everyone in.
One thing we are especially excited to announce: we hit more than a million circulations - something that hasn't happened since 2019.
The Strategic Plan
At the Cedar Rapids Public Library, we believe in the power of welcome. Our mission, Welcome to All, is at the foundation of everything we do. The Cedar Rapids Public Library’s 2026-2027 Strategic Plan outlines our priorities for the coming two years, shaped by the voices of our community, staff, Trustees, and partners.
We have identified three new strategic priorities: Access, Connection, and Service. With your support, the library is ready to meet the moment - welcoming all, connecting many, and serving with purpose.
