Learn and practice the gentle forms of Tai Chi in this 12-week series with Bryan Bruner of Heritage Area Agency on Aging. Skills will build on each other from the first session to the last. 

When school is out, come to the library! Teens and tweens ages 11-18 are invited to an hour of crafts, games, free books and more. We'll have Mario Kart on WiiU and a wide variety of board and card games to play.

Builders are invited to construct and create with LEGO and KEVA blocks. Activities will include both challenges and free play. Geared towards K-5th students. 

Bring your favorite trading card game and join us for light, casual play on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Join the all-ages meeting of the Cedar Rapids Chess Club from 5:30 to 7:30 pm weekly on Wednesdays at the Downtown Library for a relaxed, casual session playing this great universal game.

Join us for a beginner level chair yoga class. Tammy will adapt the class as needed to fit your needs and mobility levels. 

Join us weekly for Tango Práctica (practice), where you will learn the basic steps of Tango and grow your skills in an encouraging, welcoming group. No partner required. Smooth-soled shoes recommended.

Come play some tabletop games with us! Bring your favorite indie RPG to share with the group or try a new game that one of our GMs has prepared. No experience necessary. 

Join us for a free community game of Bingo! First come, first play, with all necessary materials provided. There is no contribution, monetary or otherwise, required to play.

Youth ages 12-18 are invited to participate in the library’s Youth Advisory Club (YAC). 

Come dressed as your favorite superhero and use your super powers to complete fun challenges, activities, and crafts!  Activities will be in Beems A/B and Whipple, with a scavenger hunt in the Children's Area as well.

Calling all true crime and murder mystery fans. Put on your detective hat and join other sleuths to solve a mystery at the library.  

Join us for Dungeons & Dragons, the world renowned table top role-playing game. Our tables meet on the first and third Wednesdays each month for adventure and excitement. Bring your first-level character and be ready to dive in.
